Topic
Using bibliometrics and social network analysis to explore learning science literature
Abstract
In this workshop, the guest speaker will share his experiences with using bibliometrics and social network analysis for mining learning science literature. The first part will demonstrate how researchers can use essential tools for preliminary research exploration. A short paper (Tang, Hsiao, & Su, 2020) will be the case for the first part. The second part will focus on advanced bibliometric analysis to explore the relationships between keywords and citations in the research area. Two recent papers on STEM research (Hsu, Tang, & Lin, 2023) and VR-supported learning (Cheng, Tang, & Tsai, 2022) will select as the case for this section. Attendees are welcome to ask questions and discuss the latest research trends of interest.
For young students, this workshop provides a solid foundation for conducting a systematic literature review of their theses. For researchers, it offers an opportunity to systematically examine the development of their research field, track changes in the area, and stay updated with the latest trends in academic frontiers.
